Abstract

Iranian Studies is one of the important elements of Iran’s cultural capacity and public diplomacy in Central Asia and The Caucasus. In spite of this capacity and the support provided by various organizations, including The Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (Iranian Cultural Attaché),  Sa'di Foundation and Iranology Foundation, unfortunately conditions of Russian, Chinese, Turkish, Arabic and Kurdish centers have been much more better than Iranian Studies Centers in the region during the last 25 years. Some of the reasons are these centers' traditional approaches, lack of commercialization and career opportunities for graduations. Therefore, Iranian Studies Centers and Persian Language Teaching in Central Asia and the Caucasus are weak. The present article examines the problems and challenges of these centers as well as the transition path from traditional approaches into commercialization process and creation of career opportunities for graduates based on comprehensive and realistic strategy through a better understanding of  Iranology Centers and Persian Language Teaching in Central Asia and The Caucasus.
